Monto State High School invites you to participate in our Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program. In this program, students are invited to bring their own personal Laptops to school to support and enhance their learning.  To be eligible to participate in the BYOD Program, students must agree to and sign the ICT Responsible Use Policy and bring a device that meets the minimum specifications to school. Students will be able to store their laptops in in the laptop cupboard in the administration Office when not needed in class.

BYOD Step By Step

Step 1

Ensure school fees have been paid in full or you have selected a payment instalment plan

Step 2

Student and Parents/Guardians are to read the BYOD Information Handbook (PDF 477KB)This outlines the following

  • Device information/minimum specification
  • Device care
  • Cybersafety
  • Software
  • Misuse and breaches of acceptable use

Please see the Frequently Asked Questions (PDF 107KB) this may answer any questions you may have in regards to the BYOD Program.

Step 3

After reading the BYOD Information Handbook, print out the BYOD Acceptable Use Policy (PDF 4,224KB), and sign all required sections.  The Student is then to return this agreement to the School Administration Office.  If you do not have a printer, copies of this agreement are available from the school administration.

Step 4

Students will be required to attend a connection session with administration staff.

If students require additional information, BYOD status checks or general troubleshooting, they again need to see staff in the school administration office.
