At Monto State High School, sport is an essential part of our school community, promoting teamwork, resilience, and school spirit.
Our Sport Houses: Russell and Cook
Students are proudly divided into two sport houses, Russell and Cook, which compete in events like athletics, swimming, and cross-country carnivals. This friendly rivalry fosters participation, teamwork, and house pride.
Sporting Opportunities
We offer a range of sporting activities, including:
- Touch Football: A fast-paced sport that builds agility, teamwork, and strategy.
- Netball: A popular choice for developing coordination, communication, and resilience.
Interschool and Representative Pathways
Students can compete at various levels:
- Interschool Sport: Compete against local schools.
- District Sport: Represent the Monto District.
- Regional Sport: North Burnett Team: Students selected at the district level can represent the North Burnett Team at regional competitions.
- State Representation: Athletes may progress to the Queensland School Sport State Championships
