Monto Cattle Team
The cattle team finished the year up with a couple of major events this term. The first event was the intercollegiate meat judging competition being held at Nolan Meats in Gympie. This competition saw the students identify retail cuts of meat, primal cuts of meat, and grade carcasses for eating quality and yield. Four of the highest points scorers of our school were added together to give a total for each school.
Mr and Mrs Worley would like to thank all of the Monto Cattle Team parents for all of their assistance throughout the year transporting students and equipment to shows and assisting wherever possible. Without the sup-port of the parents, the school and wider community, our cattle and transport donors – Kyle and Laurie-Ann Ogle, David and Kellie Smith, Gavin and Wendy Streeter and Scott Horrocks we wouldn’t be able to do what we do.
We look forward to another successful and busy year next year.
